*~*I Love Pretty Petticoats*~*

Petticoat advertisement, 1950s
These are so beautiful you could wear them as skirts. I love pretty girly things; these are so pretty and feminine. I think women where so much more feminine in days gone by, it is my humble opinion that the invention of jeans changed a lot of that! Don't get me wrong jeans have their place in a woman's wardrobe; I just think it is somewhat sad that pretty petticoats for most of us lost their place.

I think I will look for a pattern to make some; no wait a minute - I know I shall.

What do you think of pretty petticoats? Please leave a message and let me know; I would love to know your thoughts on them!

*~*What Kind Of Windows Do I Look Through?*~*

I saw this today and just thought it was so good I had to share it; it really made me think about how we see things!

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning, while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the washing outside. She says, "The laundry is not very clean. She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap." Her husband looks on, but remains silent. Every time her neighbor hangs her washing to dry, the young woman makes the same comment. A month later, the young woman is surprised to see nice clean washing on the line and says to her husband, "Look she's finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?" The husband replies, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows." And so it is with life. What we see when watching others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look.
